Self-Exclusion in Ontario
All operators registered with iGaming Ontario are required to participate in Ontario's self-exclusion program. Registering for self-exclusion bars you from all registered Ontario iGaming platforms simultaneously. To register for self-exclusion in Ontario, visit the iAGCO self-exclusion portal or contact ConnexOntario for assistance.
Recognizing Problem Gambling
Common signs that gambling may be becoming problematic include:
- Spending more time or money on gambling than intended
- Chasing losses — continuing to gamble in an attempt to win back money lost
- Gambling affecting work, school, relationships, or financial obligations
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or preoccupied when not gambling
- Concealing gambling activity from family or friends
- Borrowing money or selling assets to fund gambling
If you recognize several of these patterns in your own behaviour, speaking with a counsellor or calling a helpline is a constructive first step. All calls to the helplines listed above are confidential and free of charge.
National Problem Gambling Helpline
The National Problem Gambling Helpline operated by the National Council on Problem Gambling (US-based but serving some Canadian callers): 1-800-522-4700.
For Families and Friends
Gambling problems affect not only the individual but families and friends. Gam-Anon (gam-anon.org) provides support specifically for people affected by a loved one's gambling problem, with meetings available across Canada and online.
